GekkoAxe V2.0 – The GekkoAxe GT

Mechanically compatible with current designs of the Bitaxe Gamma Turbo (GT), but with a custom designed circuit and board by GekkoScience, and a custom silent but efficient fan/heatsink combination designed with The Solo Mining Co. This hardware was designed and tested to be compatible with current versions of AxeOS.

The miner features 2x Bitmain BM1370 ASICs
– Stock speed around 2.4TH
– Maximum overclock around 4.5TH if cooling allows
– Overclocks with quiet stock cooler (and optional rear fan) to ~3.5TH

The GekkoAxe GT unique features include:
– Backward-compatible Bitaxe Accessory Port (BAP) with regulated 5V power, so accessories designed to connect to previous generations of Bitaxe, GekkoAxe etc miners should work without modification
– Dual fan ports for front and rear cooling, both speed-controlled via software (only Main heatsink fan reports RPM due to core design hardware limitations
– Board designed for more heatsink mounting options, to improve contact with chips for reliable heat transfer
– Improved wifi performance
– Common/standard DC barrel jack for ease of power supply sourcing, through-hole soldered for mechanical reliability and rated for the miner’s maximum power draw

Bitaxe (and derivative) core design and software features include:

– Integrated wifi, quick mining on power-up
– Stats including hashrate, temperature, and power use rotate on included OLED screen
– Easy web configuration (via wifi SSID/IP displayed on screen) with lots of charts
– Requires 12VDC from standard 5.5/2.1mm barrel jack (12V 4A minimum, up to 8A for maximum overclock)
